Professional Experience:
With over 25 years of experience across multiple industries, Marini offers strategic planning and stakeholder management expertise from her extensive working background in both the private and public sectors. She has steered initiatives that paved the way for corporates and industry’s strategic direction through research studies, data analytics, benchmarking exercises, engagement with the industry’s stakeholders and performance management frameworks. As an advocate for nation building and long-term sustainable growth, in her various roles she had contributed in the development of targeted interventions to address both ASEAN’s and Malaysia’s critical needs and facilitated the development of various regional and national strategic plans.

Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council (MHTC):
A member of the company’s senior leadership and responsible for the development of the overall strategic plan of Malaysia’s medical travel industry as a key export sector. Malaysia rose to be the preferred medical travel destination globally with an amplified Malaysia brand and strong value proposition, recording CAGR growth of 16% from 2015 to 2019; securing the Number 1 Global Healthcare Destination by Volume in 2019.

Managed the relationship with stakeholders for policy advocacy serving as the primary point of contact for the Ministries, government agencies and state governments; and providing strategic input for national masterplans and strategies.

Developed public and private sector partnership and collaboration between industry players, member hospitals and government agencies to achieve the strategic objectives of the industry towards a sustainable growth.

Sustainable Finance Institute Asia:
Spearheaded the ASEAN Sustainable Finance Taxonomy project which is an initiative under the ASEAN Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors to promote sustainable activities and investments, in order to drive the region’s sustainability agenda.

Responsible for the development of the strategic framework for ASEAN’s adoption of sustainable finance; coordinated extensive engagement and discussions between 10 ASEAN member countries; and managed stakeholder consultation with regional & international stakeholders, industry players and NGOs.

Accenture Sdn Bhd:
Accountable for the strategic coordination of the client’s (an international oil & gas company) performance management initiatives, and exploiting opportunities for improvement to enable a business transformation program.

Involved in establishing and implementing a performance measurement benchmarking framework that was used to measure the effectiveness of a key programme for the client.

Led a Change Management Programme to drive business unit adoption of a new module of the client’s enterprise business intelligence solution. The project impacted 18 of the client’s business units and operating plants around Malaysia.

B|Braun Medical Industries Sdn Bhd:
Responsible to monitor the Key Performance Index (KPI) of the company’s Penang operation which is the largest B|Braun manufacturing site outside Europe. Provided feedback and monthly report to the President and Board Members as well as the HQ in Germany on the status of the quality management system of the company.

Responsible for assessing all processes and functional areas in the company’s integrated management system. Developed annual audit plan and performed quality audits to ensure compliance to the international healthcare standards and regulatory requirements
