Ms. Cross has held administrative laboratory positions with hospital based, privately owned independent, hospital systems laboratories, for profit and not for profit laboratories.  

Ms. Cross was a CMS Expert Surveyor for CLIA physician office laboratories, The Joint Commission laboratory, hospital, and for cause surveyor (10 years) and Joint Commission International surveyor (5 years).

Consultation services included root cause analysis, departmental relationships, audits (chargemaster and benchmarking), laboratory consolidation studies, POCT initiation, turnaround time analysis, management contracts.

Served as quality manager for manufacturer of laboratory reagents; set-up and operations of general clinical research center, University of Michigan; administrative director of clinical and anatomic pathology, responsibilities included quality, staffing, budget, all operational issues, departmental representative and liaison with administration and other departments.
