Professional Experience: <\/b><\/u>
Jan has 30 years\u2019 experience of quality improvement work in health care, from front-line implementation of a quality system in radiotherapy, to facilitating quality improvement workshops with a wide range of health care staff and stakeholders. She has developed patient safety and quality standards and assessment processes for a range of clinical services, including oncology. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

She works on the International Society for Quality in Healthcare (ISQua) Accreditation Programme, which as a peer review surveyor gives her a unique insight into different cultures, approaches and values in healthcare. She is also an ISQua Expert, Member and Fellow, in the past she has been an accreditation manager for the IAP. Jan works as an independent consultant on projects including the development of a national healthcare accreditation programme in Tunisia, expert reviewer of the: Jordanian standards for people with disabilities; guidelines for implementation of national standards for the Australian Aged Care Quality Agency; technical author of healthcare standards for the British Standards Institute and member of TC304 involved in the review of ISO7101 and the development of the ISO17021-15 scheme to assess it. Previously she was a member of TC362 and involved in the development and update of EN15224. During her work in healthcare accreditation, she has worked in Portugal, Italy, Cyprus, the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the Kingdom of Bahrain participating and leading surveys. She has also been part of the standards development team for both Abu Dhabi and the Kingdom of Bahrain where both organization successfully gained accreditation from, ISQua.<\/p>
